I hope not. AMD processors are slower, their high-end processors include fewer cores, and they all suck down more power and put off more heat. They're cheaper, yes, but you get what you pay for. Imagine your MacBook at a 25% lower price, but with its battery life cut from 8-10 hours to 4-6, and now being too hot to keep on your lap. Hurray.
