For extracting the audio from a video file, I recommend mpeg stream clip. It's free, and you get it at the following URL. http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html Note that when you run the program, it will tell you that it needs the apple mpeg2 quicktime component. It doesn't need this for audio extraction, so just ignore that warning. Darcy
