Seems to me that the barcode scanning feature was not working well. Perhaps
they are looking at ways to improve the database.

There are now 3 tabs, Read, Describe and More.
Look in the More Tab, and you will find the familiar channels bar.
Swipe down and you will eventually find the Products channel.
