Try this. 1 press command+shift+5 on the keyboard , not the numPad. 2 choose record entire screen Capture refers to screen shots. 3 press the options button press enter to select the options of your choice, such as, Where to save the recording no time limit of the recording choose the microphone… 4 Now press the record button. 5 to stop the recording go to the extras menu, VO+Shift+MM, You will find the stop button. I set this up, but I'm having a strange situation. I went into
System Settings, Privacy & Security, and scrolled down to near
the bottom of that table, and added the QuickTime Player
application to the allowed list. Then I opened QuickTime Player
and selected "New screen recording (CTRL-Command-N)" from the
menu. This displays a dialog where it is possible to select what
portion of the screen gets recorded. One thing that's a little
confusing is, at one end of the list of choices is "Capture full
screen," and at the other end is "Record full screen." What's the
difference?
When I press the Record button at the end of the above described
dialog, the dialog closes as expected, and then I am shown a
closed collection, where I can open previous recordings and play
them.
But what about the recording I thought I just started? There's no
Stop button that I could find, and the Close choice on the File
menu is dimmed. So then, am I really recording? If so, how do I
stop recording?
