What about trying to adjust the volume through the roter? I have a volume
control on my roter but since the button on the remote works that's what I use.

I do, actually have 3. But that has no effect. I went into the video-audio
settings and turned on reduce loud sounds. Solved the problem but its not as it
was prior to the upgrade.
