Hello Dónal and Anne,

I also have my Mail Preferences Message Format set to Plain Text on the Composing tab, and that generally works well for me, but HTML mail (e.g., such as web page enclosures from sources like the NAXOS newsletters) still display as HTML. Generally, I'll keep those in that format. I use Command-Option-P if I want to force a change to Plain Text.

Cheers,

Esther

Hello Dónal,

Have you tried going to the Composing tab in Mail Preferences and setting Message Format to Plain Text? I don't know why this works, but it does for me.

Cheers,

Anne

Hi,

I think I must be missing something, but is there a way to adjust Mail to ensure that messages are displayed in plain-text rather than HTML using the graphical UI? I've done this using terminal and defaults, but I'm curious whether I've missed something.

Cheers

Dónal
