Just thought I would tell you that a friend of mine, who had a MacBook Air that
was a little older than mine had the same kind of problem when he tried to
update to Monterey. His computer crashed, and he had to roll back to the
previous update Big Sur. He he helped me update my MacBook Air. He was a little
bit concerned whether the MacBook Air that I had would take Monterey. It turns
out that it took it. But I do know that I am past the lifecycle of my present
computer and as of right now, I could probably only get the security updates
and that would be it . Can’t do anything with any of the other systems like
Ventura or Sonoma or Sequoia. Yes you could say I’m to the end of my update
cycle on my present MacBook Air computer.
