Hello all,

I just got a refurbished iPad mini 5th generation to replace my 7th
generation iPod touch which is just about becoming worthless, and am
realizing there are a few differences between iOS and iPad OS. One thing
right now is that when I open an app like settings, unlike iOS, the app's
area appears to be on one part of my screen, and the home screen icons look
like they are on the other side. I'm sorry for asking such an elementary
question, but can someone explain the best way to handle this with
VoiceOver? Is there a way to hide the home apps and have the app area cover
the entire screen? Might this be where the "Container" concept comes into
play? I'm also looking for any kind of write-up that might give more tips
for someone moving from iOS to iPad OS so I don't necessarily have to flood
this list with other seemingly elementary questions.

Thanks for listening, and also for any thoughts or suggestions. I'm actually
looking forward to getting used to my new iPad.
