Hello All, In short, with VoiceOver enabled on iPad, Kindle book purchasing pages are no longer accessible in Safari.
Please do the following to increase the likelihood that this issue will be resolved ASAP: 1. Please call 888-283-1678. 2. Select option 1. 3. When the Amazon rep answers your call, verify your account with them. This is extremely important. If the rep does not require you to verify your account, before proceeding, the call will not be logged into the Amazon support system. 4. Once your account has been verified, give the rep the following ticket number: V1442232677 and tell them that you are calling to verify that you are experiencing the same problem on your iPad. Depending upon the wait time, this call should take less than 10 minutes of your time. The more calls, the faster the problem will be resolved. Now, to reproduce the VoiceOver iPad Safari Kindle book purchasing bug, do the following: 1. With Voice Over enabled on your iPad, open Safari and go to Amazon.com 2. If you have not already done so, sign into your Amazon account from within Safari. 3. In the Amazon search field type in any book title, for example, Shutter Island. Locate the title of the book and activates it’s title to open it’s details page which should give you the option of downloading a sample of the book, listening to a preview of the title, and provide purchasing options, etc. Make certain that you open the Kindle version of the title and not the Audible version. Assuming that you open the correct page, you will discover that virtually none of the content is VoiceOver accessible. Please be aware that Amazon support has already verified this bug but strongly recommends that anyone who can reproduce the bug should call in to let them know. Thank you all for your support on this one. Mark -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
