Hi Dave, My Time Machine backup is encrypted. Hence, when I attach the drive to the computer, a system dialogue pops up asking for the password. Once entered, there is a few seconds delay then the Seagate drive shows up on the Desktop. After that, I can browse the drive like any other drive; no other steps are needed.
