Hello,
I have two volumes, Ventura and Sonoma. Ventura is pretty much in
good shape. Sonoma has some anomalies. One that is pretty consistent is
the dock. Let's say there are 8 apps. Using VO right or simply right
arrow, I might hear "2 of 8, 2 of 8, 4 of 8, 5 of 8, 6 of 8". Matters
now what, I can change the order and still get the same response.
If I activate the second instance ("2 of 8, 2 of 8"), that app will
not open but the first instance will. Example. Mail is #2 and Messages
is #3. VO reports both as "2 of 8". Instead of Messages opening, Mail
opens. If I change the order of these two, the opposite behavior occurs.
Confused? This anomaly is not consistent. I removed all apps and
started adding some back. If I have some 20 apps, the anomaly will show
up 2 or 3 times. While playing with this, when I opened a TestEdit
document, the dock was fine. Closed thee app and the oddness came back.
I have no idea what is at fault. Might doing a recovery fix this?
What other options are there? Thanks.
