Are there any CPU options you could change, for example by allowing the
VM to use all of the cores? I suspect this wouldn't work, but it would
be worth trying any relevant configuration options. Otherwise, it's a
VMWare bug report.
I'm so glad I've left the Windows world - at least for now.
