Hi Donna,
Okay, here is what I purchased. It's a travel plug adapter with USB. It's made
by Tessan. I bought two from Amazon. We only took our iPhones, I wanted to
travel light. We didn't own Apple watches then, we would have taken those which
we have now. We are also with Verizon. They have what's called a pass plan.
It's $10 per day. The cool thing is that you only are charged if you use it. We
traveled on buses and trains and kept our phones off. Most of our usage was on
Wi-Fi which was available wherever we stayed. As has been stated, you only
incur charges when using cellular data. We rarely used cellular data, as it was
often spotty anyway. Hope this helps.
Best,

Les

Hi Jason,

Thank you!!! That’s exactly what I wanted to know. I thought that was the
case, but didn’t want to find out I was wrong after I was already there. :)

Re the calling plan, I figure it’s just easier to stick with my current plan,
and add international coverage. I have the option of only adding it for the
time period that I’m in Europe, so I think that’s what I’ll do.
Best,
Donna
