The workaround according to Apple Accessibility to get Siri to stop listening for additional requests as though you’re having a fluid conversation with her is to turn on the “type to Siri“ feature in Siri settings. Then, using hey Siri you will only get a single interaction with Siri and not a continued back to back requests cycle. However, if you press the side button with the type of Siri feature on it will bring up the keyboard and require you to type your request to Siri. Again, with that type to Siri feature turned on Hey Siri will eliminate the back-to-back requests and give you a single interaction as in the good old days. I made my displeasure known quite clearly and they did tell me that there are working on a permanent fix to this software boondoggle. Whoever got the big raise for coming up with this harebrained idea should be demoted or fired. Just my opinion. Sent from my IPhone
