Wow, it's amazing that that display has lasted so long with such minimal 
repair! I've heard good things about the quality of displays made by 
Baum/VisioBraille, but I've never had the opportunity to try one out.

I've had good luck with the first two displays from Baum (now 
VisioBraille) that I have owned. The third display is too new to comment 
on with respect to durability, but it's an excellent product.
I also have a Focus display, unfortunately with cell problems similar to 
what others have described. I suspect it will need more than cleaning. 
There are issues with controls on the display as well. If I remember 
rightly, it dates from around 2017.
as I have two other working braille displays, one of which is a Baum 
device from 2004 that only needed cleaning and a battery replacement to 
bring it back to full working condition, I'm not in any hurry to spend 
the money to have the Focus display looked into. If cell replacement is 
needed, the costs can grow rapidly.
