Wow, it's amazing that that display has lasted so long with such minimal repair! I've heard good things about the quality of displays made by Baum/VisioBraille, but I've never had the opportunity to try one out.

I also have a Focus display, unfortunately with cell problems similar to what others have described. I suspect it will need more than cleaning. There are issues with controls on the display as well. If I remember rightly, it dates from around 2017. as I have two other working braille displays, one of which is a Baum device from 2004 that only needed cleaning and a battery replacement to bring it back to full working condition, I'm not in any hurry to spend the money to have the Focus display looked into.
