For me once I get the location working, it shows up in the menu bar as an option! It's a bit of a fight to get the connection first working but once you do the menu bar gives you such better access. I don't typically need to have more than two or three locations that I VPN to, so that's how I do it. I think they also have improved a bit on how the app works. I may be able to put together a quick podcast or demo of how I do it if that would help!
