I was having the same identical problem. You were talking about a couple years ago in Joseph. I had used up most of my space on iCloud, and, my phone was not backing up. I was getting messages about my space being used app. I spent $.99 and bought 50 GB of space on iCloud, it solved my problem, and I have plenty of room to spare. I also have quired to other devices that will need to use my iCloud space. An iPad that I inherited from my sister, and, and MacBook Air 11 that I also inherited from my sister when she passed away in 2020.
