Apple Technical Support Requests: I. Braille Display Interface.
1. when typing text in contracted braille, content is successfully input a majority of the time. However, when reviewing a document, and making changes within it, text in the vicinity of the area being proofed is very oftenjumbled and thrown into a mess of characters. this happens regardless of which braille display is used, and occurrs in Safari, email apps, Google Docs, and other editors. The notes app is slightly better, though this tends to happen in larger notes. B. Another related issue: Using contracted braille, and while inserting text between other content already present, the cursor may inadvertently move to the wrong spot when either routing the cursor to a specific position, or each time I press spacebar at the end of a word. Perhaps this has something to do with the translator putting in braille contractions, and the cursor's having to quickly position itself correctly after the contraction, and remain in the right spot, which is still to the left of the content that is not being modified, but just slid over to make roomm for the inserted text. Thank you. F. At times, such as in certain account logon fields, I need to use 8-dot keyboard entry instead of contracted braille. After switching to a different input mode, characters do not always reflect the change.
