Ok. I am going to simplify things here. Your computer name is technically 
the very top of the hierarchy 
And Macintosh HD is the overall hard drive. You can save to the Macintosh HD 
itself, but your home folder, which is the one with your name, is really the 
place to start. Unless you are using iCloud Drive, I’d use the Sidebar in the 
Finder save dialog and select the folder specifically in your home folder, such 
as documents or Downloads. Once you select specific folders, they should appear 
in the drop down menu of folders. You can then use that its a quick way to 
alternate between commonly used locations.
