I know the new Mac has a USB C port and my older Mac just has a regular USB

everything up wirelessly?

I bought a couple of USB-C to USB-A adapters with my 14-inch MacBook Pro.

If you have devices that need USB type A, then buying as many adapters as you think you'll need would be prudent.
