illustrating my point exactly.
Each individual brings a preference to the tool they use, some rooted in
the physical, some in just enjoyment.
I have no idea what voice I am using on my Mac yet, too busy managing
other issues like the fact the track pad gets engaged if I so much as sneeze
laughs.
The voice of the tutorial, I believe Tim says his name is Fred, has
nothing on the first voice used for the tutorial years back..which
differed entirely from the system voice used by voiceover.
Again, if apple is adding all these tools, the ability to manipulate their
quality should be both present and easy to access as well, speaking
personally.

They either were too skippy, laggy, or in some way shape or form, didn’t sound
right when reading for long periods of time.

given even IOS and windows settings make me dizzy, the answer is no.
At this point I am feeling the default voice provided with this mid 2012
installation of Catalina will be just fine with practice. Especially as I
make slight adjustments.
Far more concerned about the combination of keystrokes required, and
although I am sure it is here somewhere, how to repeat what vo has just
said?
Practice makes more comfortable, even if I doubt this is likely to become
my main machine any time soon..I love typing at 85 words a minute, and not
taking my hands off the keys too much laughs.
Thanks for the question, and the consideration though!

By way of example, I have yet to find an iOS voice that does not trigger the

It is one reason why I wanted an older mac, and why I am, after years of being
on this list, only now in a position to really use apple products at all.
My point is that inclusion also means choices, and limiting choices because of
how a person's body works, is not inclusion..at all.

As shared I have no issues with the data not being presented, with practice I
will likely be fine.
but as I just shared with my apple rep, you expect someone like the late
Stephen Hawking to have someone provide his log in password every 8 hours?
If there is not an existing work-around for that population, one should be
created, even if hidden in the security privacy area, an alternative way to
provide password at log in, or something of that sort.

Hi,
Whether it???s a VoiceOver user or a sighted user, they will not be able to see
what is being entered. Yes, on some web-sites, there is a ???Show Password???
option, but this is not the case for the Login screen. You do bring up some
good points, although I???m not sure I know a workaround for them. Even with
newer versions of the computer, and newer versions of the MacOS there are
things like the fingerprint sensor. The limitation here is still that the full
entry of the password is required after restart or logout for security reasons.
I will need to check with someone at Apple if there???s some other way that
I???m not aware of that would allow for password entry for someone with
dexterity challenges.

Tim,
Thanks as always.
When I spoke to apple accessibility I asked a question.
since voiceover is not providing input, if one is new to the mac, or used to a
larger keyboard, mistakes are quite likely.
however, what happens if someone cannot type at all? the system does not let
you speak your password either, which speaking personally seems like rather a
barrier for those experiencing motor challenges.
While I respect the risk idea, I am more bothered by the noninclusive nature of
the door if that resonates.
If I could say set the requirement for once every 90 days, giving me more time
to either manage this keyboard or add an external one it would be one thing.
As it is now, the problem prevents me from moving forward, and I cannot
resonate with that situation.

Hi,
There are trusted developers that are built in to the system, as well as you being
able to tell the MacOS if you want to ???Trust??? a specific web-site for

option. Regarding the locking of the screen after sleep or screen saver, yes,
indeed this can be configured. I???ll preface this by saying that when you disable
this feature, you are leaving your Mac open to security breaches. That being said,
if you are comfortable with that risk, or have other physical reasons for
preferring your Mac not to behave this way, then the setting is in the Security
& Privacy pane of System Preferences under the General tab.

In iOS, you cannot download apps from third-party sites, you have no choice but
to use the App store. As a result, every app is vetted by Apple before

different animal. We can use Safari to download directly and the system is not
directly sandboxed. Take Zoom. To use it on the iPhone, App store, no other
way though it might work through Safari. However, there is no Zoom app on the
Mac App store. There are some things that will work with Zoom, but if you want
the actual program the company provides, you have to go to there website.
It???s a safe app to download, but I don???t know if you restrict your
downloads if that one would work for instance. My point though is that if you
only download apps from people you know, then you don???t have to worry about
security measures that may or may not hamper your Mac experience.
