Hi All, Obviously, I misunderstood an e-mail message I received in reply to my initial inquiry concerning using my Brother “All-In-One” printer. I mistakenly interpreted that answer to suggest that Image Capture could create an image file from a printed document and then convert it to another, accessible format (i.e., text, Word, HTML, etc.). Apparently I was considerably mistaken.
Not having an OCR application (I don’t believe) on my Mac, I e-mailed the resulting image as an attachment to myself. Then using my iPhone’s mail app, I was able to open that image file and deploy the image explorer feature on the iPhone to “read” the document. Admittedly, this is an awful lot of “Monkey Business” when I consider that installing an OCR app on my Mac would streamline the process. I will be purchasing ABBY for my Mac to make this process much more efficient.
