Hello Paul, I believe the solution to your problem is that, with the wired headset connected to your phone, after asking Siri a question, immediately begin tapping the volume up button on the side of the phone. There are several volume channels on the phone and sometimes they automatically set themselves to zero. As you tap, you should begin hearing Siri's voice response.

Hello, I am running the latest IOS on my iPhone SE 2020. I have disabled Hey Siri and instead start Siri by pressing and holding the Home button. My headphones plug into the iPhone via an Apple lightning to jack adapter. All normal audio output is directed to the headphones when they are plugged in. Siri works fine when my headphones are unplugged. However when the headphones are plugged in and I ask Siri a question I get s slight delay and then hear the current time or the screen I was on before asking Siri. is there some Setting I need to change to enable me to hear Siri responses via the phone speaker when headphones are unplugged and to hear them through the headphones when they are plugged in? Many thanks … Paul Hopewell -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
