Hi, Group. In Catleena days, when the computer went to sleep mode after remaining idle for a while, pressing arrow-keys several times and touching the power-button used to start VoiceOver and awake the computer to fully functional state.
Since Montray, however, VoiceOver doesn't come up and the computer does not come out of sleeping mode by pressing arrow keys repeatedly and by touching the power button. VoiceOver starts only when I enter my password. The computer doesn't work even when Voiceover is running. For instance, Safari or TextEdit do not work at all and do not accept any keystrokes. When I try to restart the computer from the menu, Voiceover says: 'Authentication Is Not Responding' and I have to shut down the computer and restart it. This is simply a big pain in the neck. Is this a normal and accepted behavior now? Is there any work around it? Thanks! -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
