Hello Everyone, So, along with my purchase of Apple Watch 7 came a free, three-month trial subscription to Apple Fitness Plus.
I decided to give it a try. As far as I can tell, my experience via watch 7 will also work on watch 4. As for the accessibility of the Fitness Plus, workouts, themselves, I have not yet explored. However, I did try a few of the focus / meditation sessions on my Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone and found that sight is not a requirement in order to participate. I discovered that one can use the Apple watch to control these sessions on the TV, iPad and / or iPhone. Not bad. However, I wanted to take it one step further by determining if one could run a session on the Apple Watch, itself, without using the TV, iPad, or iPhone. I was surprised to learnt that the answer is yes. This makes sense, given that the meditation / focus sessions strongly suggest that you participate with your eyes, closed. There are too many variables to account for in this post however I will tell you that, though not required, you can use your phone to download a workout / meditation session to your iCloud library and then onto your various devices, including the watch. Make certain that your AirPods are connected to the watch, then you can completely control and participate in the medication sessions via the Mindfulness app, on the watch, itself, without a TV, iPad or iPhone. I will continue to explore Fitness Plus and hopefully discover that there is more that we, as blind or low vision people, can use in Apple Fitness Plus.
