I don’t see how having the OneDrive icon in the dock would prevent you from
closing the OneDrive folder window.
I set my own OneDrive preferences to keep the OneDrive icon in the dock, and
had no problem closing the OneDrive folder window just like any other Finder
window.
Nevertheless, I am glad to hear you resolved the issue, and your OneDrive
window is now closed.

Hi Brad,

I looked at the OneDrive preferences again and did not found any option which I
thought would change my window problem. I then tried the option to hide the
icon to the dock… and gone was the window.
I am glad I tried it, but it still doesn’t sound very obvious to me this option
would have this effect on the window.

Aynyways, I am happy to have gotten rid off the window after all;)
