That’s a really good idea, Brad. How do you change the default app for playing

TIA,
Donna

You can no longer change the setting in the Music app, so that items played

This option was removed a while back, when the app was still called iTunes.

To avoid adding played items to my library, I use QuickTime player, which is a
stock app, included on your Mac.

Additionally, I use Get Info to change the default application for most
commonly played music file-types to QuickTime Player, to help avoid
accidentally adding items to my Music library unintentionally.

Is there a way to play something without adding it to the music library, short
of changing the setting so that nothing is added?
