A couple weeks ago the topic of leaving a Mac laptop plugged in came up. I had to admit I’ve never thought about it, but kept mine always connected to ac power, exceppt on those rare occasions when taking it on a trip.
So I connected my MacBook power block to a 24-hour mechanical timer. I have it set to keep power off for 8 hours on, 8 hours off, and then a couple other smaller increments over a 24-hour period. So now my MacBook gets to run with and without battery during every day.
