Well, I do not see why we can’t keep siri features. Customizations are not worth it to me if we can’t have a reliable experience with apps and services.
I’m waiting until 15.1. I don’t want to risk wallet crashing or have problems using the keyboard with my 5th Generation iPad Mini. The problem with this if I am correct, i is that it requires more customization by each user, but could mean it is easier to use an alternative client with Siri. Kinda like how when you ask SIRI to play "All Star" it asks which app should I use. Perhaps VoiceMail / last call will work that way too. Just conjecture. I only use Siri for the most simple of tasks such as a fast way to open an application or using it on the Apple watch to get my location if I realized I passed a street I was supposed to cross. Siri has never been one of my favorite digital assistants though.
