I appreciate your perspective, and I prefer to use a keyboard over touch screen 
when I can.
The population of people you work with who depend on these features are the 
ones being impacted by this.
Apple is not sending a good message here.
Siri has never been one of my favorite digital assistants though.
There is too much emphasis on cameras and not enough stability in software as 
far as I'm concerned i.e. taking out features after advertising them.

As the president of the CFB, I see a lot of older people who use these 
features. I understand that we should all do our best to learn the iOs 
interface but we also have to understand that a lot of older people just want 
to get the basics done. Even      accomlishing the basics on these devices can 
be quite a difficult task for many users. 
A prime example is writing in braille screen input′ A lot of people are just 
simply not going to get that far. Even simple tasks such as learning the 
concept of singgle and double tapping is a major learning curve for a lot of 
this demographic
