The reviews of the M1 hardware that I have read are overwhelmingly positive, so I'm tempted to buy. I wouldn't wish to run Windows on it, so that's a non-issue. My current Mac is a late 2013-model MacBook Pro. I'll wait to find out what new products are released later this year, then decide whether to purchase or not.

Hi Maurice,
As far as I can tell, your dictation was perfect. As to your question, first, a
disclaimer. I just received my MacBook Air with the m1 chip on Tuesday. I have
never used an Intel Mac. However, I have use and still use at least for now a
Surface Pro with an intel processor. I have the same specs in terms of memory
and SD hard drive on both machines. I run Office 365 on the Windows machine. I
use Outlook and it takes a few seconds to load. On my Mac, Mail and other
programs open instantly. The hardware on the Mac is phenomenal. I have used
many devices over more years than I care to remember. This is the first laptop
whose claims regarding battery life are accurate. I have run my unit on battery
for roughly three hours, and I still show 94% battery remaining. As for the
temperature of the unit, it's as cool as a cucumber. So if finances are not an
issue, I'd say go for the m1 chip Mac. It's a fabulous machine.
Best,

Les

Subject: Should I trade in my MacBook Pro Intel fore a M1 Mac?

Good morning everyone my subject line says it all. I also have hey 2015 MacBook
Pro that I just wanted to get out of here. It was retired last year because it
was thought that the battery is swelling. But it was never really confirmed
because of the pandemic. Now that the Apple Store is now fully Open. Hi I have
been discussing with Apple what kind of trade it in value, would these two
computers have? I know that running Windows as a Guest operating System would
not be possible. This beginning two not be a issue. The reason why is Windows
based Systems are increasingly being hacked. I thank it is Time two abandon
Windows completely. Any thoughts?

Please note that I I am using apples built-in dictation software. I hope that
this message is readable?

Sincerely Maurice Mines.
