Good morning, all, I’m happy to write with good news.
My new M1 MBA arrived yesterday. Though I’m not done migrating everything yet, all is working well. I actually did migrate data using a newer time machine backup, and was greatly relieved when doing that didn’t sabotage Voiceover. But I ended up deciding that Brad was right. Even just bringing over files, it still brought a bunch of junk with it. So I ended up deleting that user account, and just going with the account I’d created when I set up the MBA as a new Mac, and migrating everything manually. Thank goodness for iCloud! :) This is much more like the Apple experience I’ve come to know and love.
