So my husband googled this, and apparently its called the spinning wait
cursor--also unofficially the Spinning Beach Ball of Death. And death seems to
be what it's brought to my Mac. It's completely locked up and neither of us
can get the Mac to do anything. Is this mac toast, or is there some way out of
this? Any help is greatly appreciated, at this point, I'm not even sure if
there's a way to erase my data from the hard disk.
TIA,
Donna
