14000 files? If you are in your home directory there should only be a handful such as Movies, Music, Downloads etc. Once in your solona folder there could be lots of files and folders, but unless it's really poorly organized it shouldn't be that many.

It's the same as pretty much any unix shell. So when you first fire up terminal
you are already in your home directory. Not sure where you put this solona
folder but it it's in your home directory you can just do

cd solona

with no slashes. If it's on your desktop you'll first want to cd to that. Note
that unix is case sensitive so you'll want to cd Desktop with a capital D. Also
you can take advantage of some nice autocomplete stuff with the tab key. So you
could just type cd De then tab and it will fill in Desktop, assuming you don't
have multiple files with that name.

I'm trying to change to a directory in my home folder. I've tried cd /solona cd
./solona and what ever I could think of. I can't get this to work. I'm trying
to install the solona script but working width the command line in mac is just
a bit different then n windows.

Thanks.
