Traci, Big sur in some ways makes things more difficult and harder to perform.  
I have noticed it too: more interactions, not being able to jump to relevant 
places on the screen quickly enough.  I don’t understand the concept of 
collections.  Notifications are tricky to work out.  I have learnt that you 
need to use vo+command+spacebar to activate choices in notifications if you 
want to dismiss them.

I’m sorry I can’t be of more help.  Please report to Apple.
