Hello,
If you have an IOS device it might be easier to work with creating sub folders 
there and then using them on your Mac. The other option is to disable cursor 
tracking (I believe you can keep on mouse follows VO cursor) and then use the 
VO-shift-command-space to the mouse up and down. The VO comma and period 
commands to start and stop drag and drop only work if the context around both 
the source and the target do not change. Turning off cursor tracking might 
actually help here too.
