Hi, I believe this is what I did.

Go to your Mac’s bluetooth preference pain and make sure bluetooth is turned 
on. Have Boiceover’s focus inside the table of devices you have previously 
connected to. Then, ask Alexa to pair to a new device. Start arrowing up and 
down inside that bluetooth table. Echo should show up soon, then enter or 
VO-space on it to connect. After this you can adjust some settings, like the 
volume of the external device, or if you want your system settings to come 
through your Mac or the Echo. I set the volume to 100%, but this is separate 
from Echo’s volume from 1-10. I had to set it to 100% to hear. My Echo was only 
on volume 3.
