It should, at the very least, be in his applications folder provided that 
he ran the installer for Dropbox. If he sees a Dropbox folder in his home 
folder, Dropbox was, at some point, installed successfully. Remember that 
unless you are placing items in a predetermined shared folder you or someone 
else has created in Dropbox for sharing, you have to VO-shift-m on the item in 
the public folder and choose, copy Dropbox link, from the menu. Then, copy the 
link into an email.
