Hi,

Thanks I used the webform and Don has already replied asking some follow up so
fingers crossed - thanks for the advice it is funny all works well until it
doesn’t and then it feels like an endless cycle of trying things but I am sure
now I have made contact with DBT they will be able to help

Hi Julie,

I remembered that you are in the UK right after I sent my message. Sorry! I
wish I could be of more help, but I’ve only used Duxbury on the PC. I can tell
you, though, that the Index—an Everest-D in my case, is incredibly fiddly. I
have to call DB tech support every time I’ve had to set it up on a new PC. The
good news is that once you get it set up correctly, you shouldn’t have any more
problems.

I *think* that their email is supp...@duxsys.com. You might give that a try.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Donna

Thanks donna I am based in the uk and couldn’t find a number to call - I have
sent a web form support request and am hoping they get back to me as it is
driving me nuts - I have used it very successfully on my machine running Mohavi
but just when I try to put it on my newer machine with Catalina it keeps
crashing

Hi Julie,

I’ve had excellent experience with Duxbury tech support. Don Breda has been
very helpful to me over the years. I would suggest you give them a call.
Best,
Donna

Hi,

Thanks I did a fresh install of DBT yesterday and then set up index a new with
the latest drivers downloaded from index - it is so odd - it seems to just
crash sort of randomly sometimes I get as far as emboss before it crashes but
other times it does it if I click on a menu option so I had set the embosser up
in global settings but once my doc was open I thought I would just check
embosser settings under the doc menu and it crashed again - it is all very odd
and driving me nuts

DBT works fine under Catalina. I take it that other than trying to send a job
to the embosser, DBT is fine?

Couple things you might try. Remove and reinstall the Index and check the
related settings. If no go, deactivate DNT, uninstall it then do a fresh
install.

Dear listers,
I am hoping someone can help I have installed DBt 12.3 on my Mac running
Catalina but each time I open the programme it crashes before I can emboss the
document - I have DBt on an older Mac running Mohavi with no issues and have
downloaded the most recent version from DBt website - don’t think this is
really a vo issue but wondered if anyone else was having issues or could
suggest any thing to try?
The embosser is set up properly I am using an index basic D v5 and have
trialled straight from word using index braille translation - this is ok but
as you know you can’t really do formatting etc with it so want to use DBt again.
All help and suggestions grateful received
