Hi,

Usually, you can type the word, and if it brings up the suggested corrections,
press Escape. Make sure not to press the space bar or it sometimes just
auto-corrects whatever it feels like. So, once you’ve hit the Escape key, and
if you can confirm that it is spelled the way you want it to by arrowing
through the word, then use option-shift to highlight the word/name. Once
highlighted, press VO-shift-m to bring up the Contextual menu and tell it to
“Learn Spelling”. That should do it.

hth.

Later…

Hi all,
Sending this directly after my last email to the group as every time I tried to
type the word Dio the auto correct changed it and I had to go back to fix it.
This time it just gave me nine suggested corrections. How do I add it to the
dictionary so the auto correct will ignore it, as it is an actual name.
Thanks in advance,
