Hi Michael,

I’d like to verify that he actually set the site to be “Allowed”. So,
following the same procedure of first going to the site that is causing the
problem, then press cmd-comma to open up Safari Prefs, selecting the Web-Sites
tab, then selecting Pop-Ups from the table, then going to the table with the
list of sites affected by the Pop-Up controls. The first item in there should
be something to the effect of currently open sites, and it should have the
offending site listed. Beside the entry for this site, there’s a mini Pop-Up
menu with choices of Block, Block and Ask or Allowed etc. This needs to be set
as “Allowed”. It’s possible that your friend may need to make the parent site
“Allowed” as well as the individual page that is causing the problem. Note
that initially, if you simply “Allow” a sub-page, then the any other page on
the site is still usually blocked.

Hope this makes a difference.

Later…

Dear Tim,

First off, I would like to thank you for responding to my query of yesterday so
quickly. You almost always answer questions promptly and succinctly.

I immediately forwarded your suggestion to my close friend and got the
following response this morning:

Tim, if you have any other thoughts, they would be greatly appreciated. In any
case, thank you, and have a great weekend,

Mike
