As a backend web developer, I cannot agree with Daniel. Hosters do their
work, but there are developers' work related to security. No hosters
will analyze and improve your code.
I'll try to explain. Wordpress is very big and complex system. There are
always bugs in such systems. Hackers look for bugs and use them to
attack websites. There are many WP websites. When they find a key to
hack one web site they can hack thousands of them. So, they have
interest to work on that. On the other side, developers from WP team
work on fixing bugs and improving the system. That's why I said you to
update WP regularly.
There are various plugins for social media sharing, that's not the problem.

Good day,
It is the host providers job to secure the site, as the client requests. As a
host provided myself, I tell my clients that they are free to run e-commerce
carts.
Most clients usually purchase an SSL certificate to secure their websites, and
there are free alternatives for SSL certificates.
I did email you off list by the way, I’m not sure if you got it or not. If not,
then I can re-email you.
