You do realize, I hope, that almost all search fields on the Macintosh are reachable via either command-f or command-Option-F. command-F can be used to search a mail message for content, and command-option-F puts you in the mailbox search field. And of course there is also the Voiceover search abilities but that won’t help you find a message from E. F. Hutton.
