Hi, Depends on the kind of restore that you do. A Clean Install would restore back to a brand new clean Mac, and you would need to re-add everything manually. A simple re-install of Mojave would retain all settings and data, but really wouldn't accomplish anything. I'd stay with my original suggestions first.
