Hello Anne,
What a simple and nice solution to checking typing accuracy! However,
the most common error I am likely to make is to correctly spell a
word, but to type a homonym. Unfortunately, that's not something that
can be caught that way (smile). Also, when I'm posting I sometimes go
back to edit text and delete some words in order to rephrase the
sentence, and the reconstructed phrases aren't always grammatically
consistent (or there will be an extra word stuck in).
Thank you for the suggestion.
Cheers,
Esther

Hello Nic,
To check your typing accuracy, why not set the spell checker to make
a sound when you misspell a word. That's how I have mine set and I
correct my spelling as I go.
You can also have Typing Echo set to Words.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi guys,
After three cups of coffee and after answering some questions about
Athens 2500 years ago, a thought struck me. typing speed. It
occurred to me that, although my speed has dramatically increased
ever since I got my Mac (for some reason), I also have a lot of
typos. And thathas not always been the case. My question to you all
is this.
Does anyone have an idea for some typing software which will
improve my accuracy and speed dramatically? I'm far from slow, but
I'd like to type really fast while retaining my current accuracy
and become even faster.
I'm not sure exactly what I expect out of a typing application.
Something that automatically reads the words to me as I enter them?
That'd slow me down, I'd imagine. But how are you supposed to
remember them all? Braille display? I don't have one, but blame the
system. :) But that'd be slow going too. What about an application
where you enter words into a field for sixty seconds, then it
displays the speed and accuracy? I don't know how it's supposed to
know what words you type and if they are words at all, but I
supposed it can pull the information from a dictionary.
Right, I'll get to the point. Does anyone know of any such
application?
Regards,
Nic
