Hi pete, Yeah normally easy,
Do you have the device name on your network? Or the ip address it's using in the case of the my cloud device? If you have sharing set on the drive then try opening the run dialogue box and type in the name of the device or ip and then hit enter. You can also do this through explorer (Windows explorer using the address bar, Then once you have the drive show, right click and go to the mapp drive Hope that makes sense. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com <macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Pete De Vasto Sent: Thursday, 9 January 2020 8:35 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Can't Access My Network Drive From Windows On VMWare Fusion Hi, I have a 2TB WDMyCloud drive connected to my Mac over a network, and it shows up just fine via Finder both on my Mac and my wife's. However, when I start my Windows virtual machine, the drive cannot be found, so I can’t map it. I currently have my VM network settings configured to share with my Mac, and I know there are a number of other options. Is anyone out there able to connect to a network drive from a Windows virtual machine? If so, what settings are you using? Thanks so much, Pete De Vasto -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
