it remembers your place unless it has an issue where you had to shut it down, also if you suspend the editer you have to remember and press a cursor routing button or it will go back a bit, but if you close a file and open it again your place is kept. I couldn’t deal with that either. the HTCom software is crap to be blunt. what I do is contract my braille, connect it, and it acts like a storage device and I copy it over. the editer is okay, but I never use it honestly. for reading once you get files on it’s great. you can open several files at once and switch easily between them. it’s also easy to switch bluetooth devices. just think of HTCom as unuseable because it is for mac. even on my husband’s windows machine it’s not the greatest. He said it’s like software from the 80’s to early 90’s! that’s actually what I wrote them about having better ways of getting files on the device and on board translation.

What is the Notepad/book reader/word processor like? I demoed one of their displays many years ago, and one thing I didn't like was that it didn't save your place in a file. Every time you re-opened a file, you were placed at the beginning. Since I use my display a lot for reading books, I found that very annoying. -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
