Hi Donna and all, The more I hear these issues with home pod you guys have, The more I think I'd rather have the sonos move which is their version of the home pod
I've not heard of any issues with the move and or sonos as yet so what the hell are apple doing? -----Original Message----- From: 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries <macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> Sent: Monday, 2 December 2019 11:25 AM To: 'Andrew Lamanche' via MacVisionaries <Macvisionaries@Googlegroups.com> Subject: Anyone know how Shortcuts are supposed to work on the HomePod? So in my quest to get my HomePod to play requested albums, I decided to try and create shortcuts for specific albums I'm unable to get the HomePod to play. The shortcut works fine from my Phone, but the HomePod completely fails to recognize it. In trying to figure out why, I initiated a shortcut that I had created previously to play a specific radio station on TuneIn Radio that I like. When I did, Siri said I needed to turn on personal shortcuts. I went into the Home app, and sure enough they were turned off, so I turned them on. I then went back to my HomePod and tried to initialize the shortcut. Siri responded by saying, "You'll need to continue from your iPhone." WTF? I thought shortcuts were supposed to work on the HomePod if your phone was nearby. So does anyone know if shortcuts actually are supposed to work on the HomePod? Are there any limitations I should know about? TIA, Donna -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
