I expect this is the Mail notifications you are talking about? After you hear about the new e-mail message are you still in Safari, or has focus moved somewhere else? There might be a way to have Notifications not speak, or you can turn on Do not disturb settings. I am being vague here, but if you need more specifics just ask. Jonathan
