Hi, First, I would set up your Face ID without the sun glasses on. Face ID should not have a problem figuring out who you are even when you have the sun glasses on afterwards. Yes, a little further away is a good thing. A full arms length works, but 30 to 50 cm suffice in my opinion.

I'm not sure if I have attention settings on or off, I assume off as I'd have to be lucky to look at the camera. The time I really have issues is when I have extremely bright sunlight shining either on my face or the phone etc. Could this be an issue? My phone is the iPhone 11 pro max as well, I do remember that I had to take a couple of tries to setup my face id on this device. I use voiceover which tells you what or how to move the phone to set it up. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com <macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Yuma Decaux Sent: Friday, 27 September 2019 4:36 PM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: face ID annoying me Hi all, So I received the iphone 11 pro max free upgrade with my telcom, the best is also that my monthly bills have decreased. Overall happy with this. However, face ID is really giving me a hard time, forcing me to input my passcode each time. I use sunglasses most of the time and used them while scanning my face. It worked for a day, but now whether I got the glasses on or off, I get an 90 percent error rate. I tried positioning in various angles, turned off "attention required" in settings, which made it work slightly better but then got worse. I'll re do the scanning process, but who in here has near 100% success rate can give me some pointers? Thanks, and have a great weekend y'all -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
